Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a press conference held at the meeting hall of the management center of Qom Islamic Seminary, Hujjat al-Islam Abbas Raf’ati said, “The strengthening of notification activities in seminaries is one of the most important demands of the leader, hence the appointment of the first spokesman for the management center of Qom Islamic Seminary by Ayatullah Arafi, the head of Iranian seminaries.”

The seminaries’ spokesman added, “One of the important duties of the seminary spokesman is to announce seminary’s official stances.”

“Today, coinciding with the start of the seminary’s new academic year and the month of Muharram, 25,000 Islamic clerics and missionaries are sent throughout the country, sending half of them from Qom,” he stated.

“Drafting the evolution document of the seminary, and the master plan of art and the creation of specialized councils in the deputy departments are among our most important activities,” Hujjat al-Islam Raf’ati added.

Referring to the issues raised about traditional medicine and the seminary's point of view, he said, “The official position of the seminary on traditional medicine is going to be announced after the presentation of the comprehensive master plan of traditional medicine.”

He described the progress in the seminary’s evolution plan significant and said: "By the grace of God, the seminary’s committee of the media affairs is created and its activities are carried out under the supervision of the assistant director of the seminary in media affairs.”
